Thank you for Words

Thank you for the people who invent words.

Thank you that language is alive.

Thank you that some language is dead, and therefore quite dependable.

Thank you that we hold onto our language.

Thank you that we allow it to grow as well.

Thank you for the phrontistery.

Thank you for the joy learning new words provides.

Thank you for people with lively vocabularies.

Thank you that we only think there isn't a word for everything.

Thank you that really, there isn't a word for some things.

Thank you that someday we really will find a word for those things.

Thank you that we keep trying to describe the feelings that we do not actually have words for.

Thank you for the way poetry invigorates language.

Thank you that everyone uses words a little differently.

Thank you that sometimes words speak louder than actions.

Thank you that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Thank you for all the times that actions trump words.  But thank you especially for the times that words and actions work together in perfect sync.

Thank you that I get to spend my days studying words.

Thank you for words with funny definitions.

Thank you for words that teach.

Thank you that on top of all our words, we have other languages with other words.

Thank you that words are music.

Thank you that words are art.

Thank you that words paint like paint.

Thank you for the way they sound coming off the tongue.

Thank you for the way words create a new universe on top of this one.
