Thank you for Stories (20)

20
Thank you for stories

Thank you that there are so many of them, and even though they have the same elements, they are all lovely.

Thank you that stories are both universal and not universal.

Thank you that they are both complex and simple.

Thank you that they allow you to explore lifetimes of time that you do not have.

Thank you that my mother read stories to me so often when I was a child.

Thank you that I learned to read at such a young age and loved it.

Thank you that my father used to lay down on the ground by my bed and tell me stories.

Thank you that my dad is such a great natural storyteller.

Thank you for the storytellers that are left in the world.

Thank you for the exquisite puppet masters.

Thank you for the way that stories can bring people together and create a culture.

Thank you for the way stories make people feel as though they are a part of something.

Thank you for the way stories feed the heart and soul.

Thank you for the lines in stories that just stay with me. Stay with me forever. The ones that I can just repeat in my head always.  The ones that become so repeatable that they become real.

Thank you for pictures and the way pictures can be worth stories.

Thank you for the ability stories have to teach. To teach and to teach well.

Thank you for the way immoral stories do not work. Not really.

Thank you that I can often tell when a story does not work.

Thank you that I never get tired of stories and they keep coming even when I am asleep.
