Thank you for Acquaintances (15)

Thank you for acquaintances
Thank you for the random things that can only happen with acquaintances. Those rare, strange moments I have with people I will never see again in this life. Like the time that I was walking down the street, and the girl with the short hair who was going to go into the military came out of the Thai restaurant and invited me to pretend to be her friend for awhile and eat with her and her family. That was such an odd, but strangely wonderful experience, and even though I have never seen that girl again, and probably never will, I am still extremely grateful for it.
Thank you for the acquaintances that I meet in church. The girls I grow to have serious love for in an instant. The kind of love that stays even though they will never be anything more than acquaintances. Thank you for the moments when my heart just swells with that love.
Thank you for the people who come up and help or talk to you when you are having a hard time, even though they do not know you. And do not necessarily know you are having a hard time.
Thank you for the boy who saw I was crying once, and came up and told me that I was loved. Even though I didn't feel like it. I still appreciate that moment.
Thank you for the way that acquaintances can become either friends or enemies. Thank you that they have a greater propensity to become friends.
Thank you that there are so many potential friends in this world.
Thank you for visiting and home teachers. They are so helpful, even though they rarely make it past this category.
Thank you that every acquaintance is filled with this undeniable sense of possibility. They could be anything or anyone and that makes life so much more exciting.
Thank you for the kindness of strangers. I do not depend on it, but I appreciate it anyway. But I guess in a way, sometimes we all kind of depend on it. We all need a kind stranger at some point in our lives. Thank you that our kind stranger often comes.
Thank you for the way acquaintances, even the bad ones, always appear at just the right time.
